This photo exhibition is curated by REVOLVE and features at the CoP23 in Bonn, Germany. To reflect the leadership role of Fiji this year as the first Small Islands Developing States (SIDS) to host the UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (CoP), the photos show images from islands around the world sharing the common challenge of climate change as well highlights from the 2016 photo competition.
In 2016, to celebrate its fifth anniversary, IRENA launched an international photo competition. Calling on the global public to submit photos demonstrating “the promise and power of renewable energy,” IRENA received over 350 submissions from around the world. Of these, 12 were selected to be exhibited at the Agency’s seventh Assembly, included in IRENA’s 2017 calendar.
